Start With - Tomatoes

Sunday August 17, 2008
Now gardens are bursting with tomatoes, zucchini, and basil, and at the Farmer's Market, you can find peaches, plums, and melons. So let's concentrate on fresh produce this week. Nothing makes you feel better than eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and nothing is better than eating fresh fruits and vegetables in season. Tomatoes, that fruit classified as a vegetable, are the focus in this collection of recipes. Yum.

Freeze Ahead Cookie Recipes

Thursday August 14, 2008
Now is the time to start making cookies for fall, and even for the holidays. It's a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen, and to while away some of the last days of summer. Make these cookies and freeze them, and you'll be ready for lunch box packing this fall. They all freeze and thaw beautifully, and a homemade cookie is a real treat for kids. Yum.
