Salads for Busy Weekends

Saturday May 15, 2004
On a gorgeous spring weekend you want to be outside as much as possible. Whether you're an avid gardener, you love to play golf or tennis, or just enjoy sitting in the porch swing, having a main dish salad ready and waiting in the fridge is a luxury. Chicken Melon Salad is delicious and super easy, since it only uses five ingredients! Serve it with some bakery breadsticks and Cold Pea Soup that's also waiting in the refrigerator. Old Fashioned Chocolate Dessert is another make ahead recipe that is very delicious and super easy.
